National Chocolate Chip Cookie Day Report- Tates Bake Shop

As I was leaving Snider Plaza I decided to drop into the local Tom Thumb grocery store to see what was new in the cookie aisle from the big boys.  The usual Chips Ahoy and other offerings that the major manufacturers were showing looked usual and I was excited to see the little bakery from the Hamptons has gone mass/value. I love thin crispy chocolate chip cookies.  Tates Bake Shop has been a top choice of mine since the early 1980s, when I stumbled into their bakery in the Hamptons. Kathleen King is a master. Don’t be fooled that this is in Costco or a local grocery. It is as gourmet as it gets for chocolate chip cookies.  Every flavor combination that they concoct is a winner, now they are much more convenient to get!  I hope to get back to the Hamptons this summer to see if the shop is still the same.  If you are nearby, please send a picture.
